New York, NY: AmLaw100 firm seeking a mid-level associate with 4 – 5 years of employment law experience to join their Employment and Labor practice. They seek candidates who have worked in the employment practice of a prominent law firm and have gained experience with counseling employers on various employment-related issues, including leave entitlement, wage and hour issues, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other matters affecting the employment relationship. Experience defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and their state law equivalents, is required, as is experience handling multiple facets of a litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, e-discovery and the production of documents, preparing dispositive and other motions, and drafting position statements. Must be admitted to practice law in NY; admission in MA, NJ or PA is a plus, but not required.
