Austin, TX: AmLaw 100 firm is seeking to hire a 2nd-4th year associate to join the Global Sourcing practice group in the Austin office. The ideal candidate would have experience with litigation transactions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating technology-driven transactions, including IT and business process outsourcing transactions; cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements; software licensing, maintenance, and development agreements; systems integration transactions; consulting arrangements; and non-disclosure agreements.
A strong academic background is required along with exceptional research, communication, writing, and negotiation skills. Candidate must have an understanding of commercial issues and their interaction with legal issues, ability to work independently and interface with clients, ability to work quickly and juggle multiple projects, strong client interaction skills, and ability to work “real time” on matters in client meetings. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, a JD from an ABA-accredited US law school, and be admitted and in good standing as a member of the Texas Bar. Current or prior employment with an AmLaw 100 firm a plus.
