New York, NY : AmLaw200 firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 3 – 5 years of employment law experience to join their Employment and Labor practice. They seek candidates who have worked in the employment practice of a prominent law firm and have gained experience with counseling employers on various employment-related issues, including leave entitlement, wage and hour issues, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other matters affecting the employment relationship. Experience defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and their state law equivalents, is required, as is experience handling multiple facets of a litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, e-discovery and the production of documents, preparing dispositive and other motions, and drafting position statements. Experience defending cases before the National Labor Relations Board is preferred. Additionally, they seek candidates who possess superior attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional analytical skills, and those who have attained a high level of academic achievement.
